Program Narrative
At A Safe Place for Women to Heal, we believe that effective treatment takes into account the whole person. We will promote recovery by addressing the individuals’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth using a wide range of educational, practical, and experiential modalities. We understand that in order to drive information and behavior change from short-term memory to long-term memory and into usable skills and tools that it is essential to DO something. We also know that it takes six months to develop routines and habits that one can take into their life. Our goal is to help women build resiliency through strengthening their relationship with the present moment. We meet women where they are at and help them to process past trauma only when they are ready to do so in a safe and healthy way. Our program design reflects this.
