Program Narrative
Butler Hospital is the state's only non-profit psychiatric hospital providing specialized assessment and treatment for all major psychiatric illnesses and substance abuse. Butler is the major affiliated teaching hospital for psychiatry and behavioral health of THE WARREN ALPERT MEDICAL SCHOOL OF BROWN UNIVERSITY. It is the flagship hospital for its Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, which has been recognized by its peers as one of the top ten in the US.
