Description

Innovations in Recovery is about the discovery and discussion of effective solutions for professionals and their patients. As the landscape of behavioral health continues to change, shaped by scientific advances and the challenges of our modern world, staying up-to-date in the treatment field has never been more important. Professionals will learn best practices for treating co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders, process addictions, unconventional and unwilling populations, and how to facilitate a framework for the long-term recovery of their patients. Precise treatment methods and effectual post-treatment plans are key to the healing of those suffering from comorbid and complex conditions. Psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, clinicians, therapists, social workers, interventionists, treatment providers, medical staff and treatment professionals of all kinds can benefit from the dynamic workshops, keynotes and networking opportunities at Innovations in Recovery.

Tracks:

  • Specialty Populations (Adolescents, Elderly, LGBT, Traumatized, etc.)
  • Advances in Behavioral Health (Brain Scans, Holistic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, etc.)
  • Recovery Support (Recovery Residences, Monitoring, Case Management, etc.)
  • Interventions
  • Co-occurring Disorders and Process Addictions
  • Frameworks for Sobriety (12 Steps, SMART Recovery, Meditation and Online Meetings, etc.)

Objectives:

  • Discuss best practices for dealing with unconventional patient populations
  • Stay up-to-date on the most effective solutions for dealing with co-occurring disorders and process addictions
  • Implement the latest treatment methods into one’s everyday practice and caring for patients
  • Define effective post-treatment support for long-term recovery, such as the integration of 12-Step meetings, sober living, monitoring and case management
  • Determine and implement the most effective methods for intervening on complex, unwilling populations as well as providing continuous care for them and their families
