Note: My brother was born on July 26 and died as a result of Hepatitis C that had progressed to stage IV cirrhosis. He was lucky to receive a new liver but died eleven years later.

Gilead Protest
I went through Hep C treatment twice. Fist using interferon for nine month at $1,000. a month. I couldn't finish the full year requirement as it devastated me physically and so emotionally that I was suicidal. A year later I tried it again only adding Ribavirin to the mix. Again $1,000. a month. Thankfully it worked. I understand R&D expenses. But if they reduce the cost, more people will buy and the more money they will make. Shame on them for making it available to the wealthy only. » Read More
