North Miami Beach, FL - G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment provides drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services that meet the recovery needs of the person in mind, body and spirit. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is being used to help repair and restore the body and mind. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) demonstrated remarkable changes in the clients' symptoms after even a single treatment episode. HBOT can be used to help repair and restore the body and mind. Not too long ago, doctors and scientists thought that once damaged, tissue in the brain could not heal. Recently doctors using Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) have demonstrated that not only can brain tissue heal, even brain tissue with old injuries can be restored to functioning. Perhaps damage done while abusing alcohol and drugs can be 'un-done' to some extent using HBOT. HBOT is a method of administering increased levels of oxygen at greater than atmospheric pressure to a patient in order to help heal tissue damage. HBOT appears to be effective at restoring cell function to tissue everywhere in the body --- including the brain. By providing increased oxygen levels in a pressurized chamber we are able to deliver higher concentrations of oxygen than the brain normally receives through breathing. Some of the effects this has are to promote the growth of new blood vessels, to decrease swelling and inflammation, to deactivate and promote the release of toxins --- and to promote overall healing. Advantages of HBOT include that it is cost-effective, noninvasive, and safe and works well with other treatments. HBOT is an accepted, reimbursable treatment for more than 15 different types of disorders ranging from carbon monoxide poisoning to 'crush' injuries of the brain to diabetic wounds. HBOT is also used for many other conditions where it may or may not be reimbursable. The use of HBOT in stroke victims and in other brain injuries provides a foundation for efficacy with use to treat the brain injuries which result from long term drug and alcohol abuse. Brain scans of addicts show areas of reduced circulation and functioning in the brain much like those of stroke and gas poisoning victims. The ability of HBOT to restore the cellular functioning of damaged tissues in the brain has been demonstrated in stroke victims both immediately following the tissue damage as well as much later. Our vision at G & G Holistic Addiction Treatment is to set the highest professional standards, continually bettering our services using innovative and promising treatment modalities that promote and sustain the lasting recovery of all those whose lives are entrusted to our care.
